I had to read Dorcey Wingo's chapter about the "Twilight Zone Movie" deaths a couple of times to figure out whether he feels any genuine remorse.

You want to believe he does. You want to find an expression of remorse in a story such as this. It helps to bring closure.

The closest he comes to self-criticism is a fleeting and shallow admonishment for being too trusting of others.
