          Mehar Mittal did his graduation in law and after getting the law degree he started practicing for nearly 8 years in Chandigarh.

          Before appearing in  the film he began participating in the Ram leela's and even used to play many plays which helped him to get noticed by the film producers and directors to cast in the films.

           He made his debut in Punjabi film from the 1969 released film "Maa Da Laadla".But he made his Bollywood debut from the film Walayati Babu in 1981.
